THE ROVE BIKES ORIGIN STORY

Fresh off the cyclocross track and covered in mud, alittle bit of beer, and a lot of glory, the Kona crew of2013 asked, “What if we took a Jake the Snake and turned it into a do-everything, go-everywhere bike?”

The result was the ROVE — fast, versatile, and for sure a Kona. It blew open the door to our beloved drop bar world, yet satiated seasoned riders like us who don’t ever want the weekend rush of cyclocross to fade during the week.

Before the Rove, “Gravel” wasn’t a label that existed yet and nobody knew it would take off like it did. Once again, Kona riders demanded more and the Rove burst onto the scene, fierce and ready.As the Rove approaches its 15th anniversary, we’re celebrating how far it’s come — and pushing a little farther. The newest generation blends the performance geometry of the Libre with the adventurous spirit of the Sutra. Subtle updates — a touch more reach and a slightly slacker headtube — improve handling, stability, and comfort, while keeping the versatility riders expect from the Rove. Available in both aluminum and steel frames, it’s primed and ready.
